Dragan Zdravković was born in 1969 in Belgrade. He graduated and earned his master’s degree from the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. He completed his PhD at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts (2018) under the mentorship of academician Vladimir Veličković. Since 2014, he has been teaching at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade as a professor in the subjects Drawing and Painting.
He furthered his professional development as a scholarship recipient of the artistic research program in Leipzig (Germany, 2011): “LIA – Leipzig International Art Programme,” and as an invited artist, he participated in a funded program in Switzerland (Residency.ch – PROGR Art Center, Bern, 2018).
From 2000 to 2014, he worked as a professor in the Painting Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade (now the Faculty of Contemporary Arts, Belgrade). From 2005 to 2007, he participated in the summer academic program in Florence as a lecturer for “Outsideproject”; in 2002 and 2004, he taught as a visiting professor at “SACI” (Studio Art Centers International, New York/Florence). He has been a member of ULUS (Association of Fine Artists of Serbia) since 1996. He is one of the founders of the “Center for International Art Studies” – CMUS, in Belgrade. He served as the international selector for the Third International Biennial of Printmaking – Duro, 2005 (Portugal). From 2007 to 2013, he was a member of the Art Council of Gallery ’73 in Belgrade. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Expert Council of the Saša Marčeta Foundation for Bioskop Balkan. He was also a jury member for the Ministry of Culture and Information in selecting Serbia’s representatives for the 58th and 60th Venice Biennales.
He represented Serbia at the 57th Venice Biennale with the art project “Enclave,” together with Milena Dragičević and Vladislav Šćepanović, curated by Nikola Šuica (Venice, 2017).

His latest solo exhibition: “Double Moon,” Brandstrup Gallery, Oslo (sponsored by the “Christen Sveaas Art Foundation – Oslo,” Norway, 2023).
Dragan Zdravković has exhibited in over 70 group exhibitions in Serbia and abroad, participated in numerous workshops and projects, and his solo exhibition at the Zepter Museum was his 25th solo exhibition.
