{"id":2818,"date":"2024-11-23T10:30:19","date_gmt":"2024-11-23T10:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fondacijasasamarceta.org\/?post_type=events&#038;p=2818"},"modified":"2025-09-22T15:54:33","modified_gmt":"2025-09-22T15:54:33","slug":"discussing-the-60th-international-art-exhibition-in-venice","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/fondacijasasamarceta.org\/en\/projekti\/discussing-the-60th-international-art-exhibition-in-venice\/","title":{"rendered":"A discussion about the 60th International Art Exhibition in Venice"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participants:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:14px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aleksandar Deni\u0107<\/strong>, artist<br><strong>Ksenija Samard\u017eija<\/strong>, art historian<br><strong>Selman Trtovac<\/strong>, moderator<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the occasion of participating in the 60th International Art Exhibition in Venice in 2024, where Aleksandar Deni\u0107 is representing Serbia with his solo exhibition <em>Exposition Coloniale<\/em>, as well as his induction into the Academy of Arts in Berlin, a discussion with the artist Aleksandar Deni\u0107 was held at the &#8220;Menja\u010dnica&#8221; Gallery of the Goethe-Institut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <em>Exposition Coloniale<\/em> exhibition in the Serbian Pavilion at the Venetian Giardini has been conceived as a complex installation uniquely resonating with the theme of the 60th Venice Biennale, <em>Foreigners Everywhere \/ Stranieri Ovunque<\/em>, curated by Adriano Pedrosa. Through this theme and Deni\u0107&#8217;s artistic response, space is opened for reflection on the socio-political circumstances that inspired this work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The piece itself has sparked debates in the art scene. The questions and reception of this work, as well as Deni\u0107&#8217;s overall body of art, were the focus of the discussion at the Art Caf\u00e9 in the &#8220;Menja\u010dnica&#8221; Gallery of the Goethe-Institut.
