{"id":2017,"date":"2022-04-19T08:56:27","date_gmt":"2022-04-19T08:56:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fondacijasasamarceta.org\/?post_type=events&#038;p=2017"},"modified":"2024-10-26T13:49:51","modified_gmt":"2024-10-26T13:49:51","slug":"ensemble-metamorfozis-about-life-identity-death","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/fondacijasasamarceta.org\/en\/projekti\/ensemble-metamorfozis-about-life-identity-death\/","title":{"rendered":"Ensemble Metamorfozis |About Life, Identity &amp; Death"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>April 20, 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the concert <em>&#8220;About Life, Identity &amp; Death&#8221;<\/em> on April 20 at the &#8220;Balkan&#8221; cinema, the ensemble <em>Metamorfozis<\/em> officially opened its 17th concert season, titled <em>&#8220;Endless Poetry.&#8221;<\/em> This event continued the ensemble&#8217;s tradition of presenting interesting programs to both local and international audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program featured works by Pergolesi, Gabriel Prokofiev, Airat Ishmuratov, P\u0113teris Vasks, Samuel Barber, and Dmitri Shostakovich. The guest performers were members of the Academic Choir &#8220;Obili\u0107.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sa\u0161a Mirkovi\u0107, the artistic director of the ensemble, commented on the performance: &#8220;This concert reflects the situation we&#8217;ve been going through in recent years\u2014it&#8217;s a reflection on suffering and hardship, as well as a tribute to all victims, whether of war, illness, or personal struggles. It\u2019s about the process of realization, acceptance, confrontation, and survival. It&#8217;s about making our suffering meaningful.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"532\" src=\"https:\/\/agitated-kowalevski.162-55-85-125.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/kk.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-159\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fondacijasasamarceta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/kk.jpg 800w, https:\/\/fondacijasasamarceta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/kk-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fondacijasasamarceta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/kk-768x511.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Belgrade chamber ensemble <em>Metamorfozis<\/em> was founded in 2005 at the initiative of violist and artistic director Sa\u0161a Mirkovi\u0107, along with Tatjana Jovanovi\u0107 Mirkovi\u0107. Since its inception, the ensemble has been dedicated to performing boundary-pushing genres of art music, including new music, world music, and well-known works from the Western European musical tradition in a &#8220;new guise&#8221;\u2014with different, fresh arrangements and stage settings that serve as a response to contemporary moments, audience tastes, and global performance practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recent years, the <em>Metamorfozis<\/em> ensemble and the Sa\u0161a Mar\u010deta Foundation have established a partnership that has resulted in both concert performances and recordings for future projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The concerts in the 17th concert season are supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sokoj, the Sa\u0161a Mar\u010deta Foundation, and the &#8220;Balkan&#8221;
